If you own or work for a video production company then you already understand the frustration of gathering high quality video content remotely. Pandemic or no pandemic it has always been a real challenge.
Your remote contributors might not be tech savvy and online meeting platforms offer low quality cloud recordings, which rely on your contributors internet connection speed.
You also might face an issue when requesting a video that needs a script. It’s no longer acceptable for contributors to read off a sticky note, or to look down at a piece of paper. As a professional video company, you’ll be looking for your subjects to deliver a video looking directly at the camera, just as you would in a physical studio with autocue.
If you need a solution which can help with all of that, then give Camflare a try.
Camflare is a high quality video recording platform which offers a unique set of tools:
- Scalable recording, delivered as a link which can be used by unlimited contributors
- High quality recording via Chrome (720p), iOS and Android (up to 4k)
- Dropbox integration
Camflare is simple to use for both you and your contributors.
As the video production company:
- Connect your Dropbox
Create a session and choose your settings (adding a teleprompter if needed and choosing the )
- Send the link to your contributors
- Sit back and wait!
As a contributor:
- Open the link in Chrome on a laptop with a webcam or on your mobile device (It will take you straight into the session)
- Press the record button, wait for the countdown and start your presentation
- Press stop when finished
- Press the up arrow to send it straight back to the video production company that requested (this can also be set to auto upload)
Auto upload makes it easier for your contributor, guaranteeing you receive every take.
Every time a recording is stopped it will send back the video to your Dropbox.
This can activated in your session settings and applies to both the Chrome and Mobile apps.
Every recording via the Chrome app is 720p, but if you record via the Camflare mobile app you can achieve even higher quality.
Within your settings for your session you can set the mobile app to ‘Low’ for 720p, ‘High’ for 1080p and ‘Very High’ for 4k.
This only applies to devices with cameras to match or they will scale to the highest quality available.
Remember, the higher the quality - the bigger the file and the longer it will take to get back to you.
If you need to direct the content live, just team Camflare up with your VOIP of choice and run Camflare in another browser tab or on the mobile app.
This way you can communicate with your contributor while they are recording.
